Chief Sarazin was nominated by Councillor Don Bildeau and Nicole Bernard.

In his presentation, Chief Sarazin said he was seeking re-election because there are projects started that he wants to see through to completion. He stressed the importance of including the off-reserve members in any and all future plans. He cited many priorities that had been addressed during the current three-year term, including the ongoing land claim negotiations, work on the water treatment plant, an agreement with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories in Chalk River, and seeing that audits that had not been completed were brought up to date.
